Purpose
This policy describes behavior that is not permitted when using Bigtop. The service is designed for legitimate event registration, hosting, audience interaction, and replay workflows. Organizers are responsible for event content and invitations.
Registration pages
Do not create deceptive registration pages that misrepresent the organizer, event, price, purpose, sponsor, or destination. A registration page should accurately explain what a visitor is signing up for and should not imitate a trusted service to obtain credentials or payment information.
Invitations and reminders
Reminder emails are a supported event function, but they must be used responsibly. Do not use Bigtop to send spam invites, harvest addresses, repeatedly message people who have opted out, or conceal the identity and purpose of an event. Organizers should comply with applicable email and privacy laws.
Ticket scams
No ticket scams. Do not create fake ticket offers, sell access you do not control, impersonate an organizer, misstate ticket availability, or route buyers through misleading payment pages. Paid ticket pages on eligible Bigtop plans connect to the organizer’s own Stripe account; Bigtop does not hold ticket proceeds.
Prohibited conduct
Do not use Bigtop for unlawful activity, targeted harassment, malware distribution, credential theft, fraudulent schemes, or attempts to evade security controls. Do not interfere with the platform or another organizer’s event. Content creating serious and credible safety or legal risk may be restricted.
Enforcement
Depending on severity, Bigtop may warn an organizer, limit a feature, suspend an event, or terminate access. We may preserve relevant information where necessary for security, legal compliance, or abuse investigations. Where practical, enforcement considers context and an opportunity to correct an issue.
Organizer responsibility
Organizers are responsible for event claims, audience communications, ticket terms, and legal compliance. Bigtop provides tools; it does not guarantee attendance, conversion, ticket sales, or audience behavior.
